Our Story
Little Readers & Talkers is an early childhood communication brand rooted in play, connection, and everyday moments. We create thoughtful resources, services, and learning experiences that support how children naturally learn to communicate, and how adults naturally support them.
The brand was created by Joanne W. Cazeau, a pediatric speech-language pathologist and early childhood consultant whose work centers on late talkers, multilingual development, neuroaffirming care, and caregiver coaching.
Joanne’s approach blends clinical expertise with real-life parenting and caregiving, offering guidance that feels calm, clear, and doable.
Our Approach
Little Readers & Talkers grew out of years of working alongside families — on living room floors, during book time, at mealtimes, and in the small, ordinary moments where communication truly grows.
Joanne’s work begins with listening. From there, ideas take shape through play-based therapy, parent coaching, writing, teaching, and digital tools designed to meet families and professionals where they are. Inspiration comes from children themselves, multilingual homes, neurodivergent voices, and the belief that communication is about connection first.
Everything we create reflects that belief.
Our Hope
We hope to make communication support feel less overwhelming and more human.
Whether you’re reading a guide, watching a video, joining a course, or working together one-on-one, our goal is that you feel steadier, more confident, and more connected to your child, your work, and yourself.
We believe children thrive when they feel safe and understood, and adults thrive when they feel supported.
Our Work & Collaborations
Joanne’s work and philosophy have been trusted by families, professionals, and respected brands in the early childhood space, including Ms. Rachel for Littles, Lovevery, and Babies R Us.
Through Little Readers & Talkers, we collaborate on educational content, parent-focused resources, consulting, and brand partnerships that are grounded in child development and everyday life. Every collaboration is approached with care, clarity, and a deep respect for the families being served.
